18th International Conference on Community-based Adaptation to Climate Change

The 18th International Conference on Community-based Adaptation to Climate Change (CBA18) will provide an opportunity for community-based adaptation practitioners to come together, listen to local perspectives, and share experiences of effective solutions for building resilience to climate change. The Conference aims to reimagine solutions that enable transformative outcomes, including through communities driving climate action.

Participants will discuss how to put principles for locally led adaptation into practice and share community-based, locally led adaptation systems. Sessions will also consider climate finance, nature-based solutions (NbS), policy, planning, innovation, and youth.

Tanzania People & Wildlife will host the event, with the support of the Government of Tanzania. CBA18 is funded by the Adaptation Research Alliance, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, CARE, the Climate Justice Resilience Fund (CJRF), the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), the Global Resilience Partnership, the Green Africa Youth Organization, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, and Practical Action, in collaboration with several other partners.
