6 October 2014 Paris, Ile-De-France, France
14th International Economic Forum on Africa

This annual event hosted by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) focuses on the performance of African economies and related future challenges. The 2014 event, organized by the OECD Development Centre and the African Union (AU) under the theme 'By Africa, for Africa? Industrialisation and Integration for Inclusive Growth,' will specifically address the pan-African agenda of economic and social transformation, assessing its progress in light of global trade patterns, future demographic challenges and the implications of the Ebola crisis. The event will include high-level participants from government, the private sector, academia and civil society. In addition to three thematic sessions, on Africa's economic transformation, access to global and regional markets, and the urban-rural divide, the event will see the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the OECD and AU.
