Organized by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and institutions from various sectors of Argentina, this Congress provides an opportunity to present an overview of the state of forests and forestry around the world, to discern trends, adapt policies and raise awareness among policy makers, the public and other stakeholders. This meeting will address themes including: forests and biodiversity; development opportunities; forests in the service of people, including forests and climate change; organizing forest development; and people and forests in harmony.
