13th Working Conference of the CEO Water Mandate

The 13th working conference of the CEO Water Mandate, convened by the UN Global Compact in collaboration with the Pacific Institute, will explore topics related to corporate water stewardship and help shape the Mandate's projects and activities. The conference will address, inter alia: corporate water stewardship and the post-2015 development agenda; responsible business engagement in watershed-level efforts; innovations in supply chain water stewardship, with a focus on sustainable agriculture; aligning business practice with the human rights to water and sanitation; and defining and harmonizing best practice in corporate water disclosure. The Mandate Secretariat is also co-organizing a multi-stakeholder meeting with Forest Trends, the Katoomba Group, the Peruvian Ministry of the Environment, and the Peruvian National Water Authority to better understand water-related challenges facing the country, and actions companies are taking to mitigate water risk and support sustainable water management. Launched by the UN Secretary-General in July 2007, the UN Global Compact's CEO Water Mandate is a public-private initiative designed to help companies develop, implement and disclose water sustainability policies and practices.
