The Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment will host the 11th Annual Columbia International Investment Conference. The event will be organized around the theme, ‘Climate Change and Sustainable Investment in Natural Resources: From Consensus to Action,’ and will take place one week before the 22nd session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 22) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The conference will explore how to guide global actors to shift the course of natural resource investments to achieve deep decarbonization, address the needs of resource-dependent low-income countries and promote a global governance structure that supports national-level actions on climate change and development. The Conference will consider natural resource investments within the context of the Paris Agreement on climate change and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
