The purpose of this meeting is to bring together member country representatives, advisors from supporting governments, organizations and institutions, and scientists and technicians working in the Pacific region. The meeting will provide an opportunity to review the progress and directions of the Pacific Islands Applied GeoScience Commission, Applied Geoscience and Technology Division of Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SOPAC) Division Work Programme, and to stimulate and plan new, emerging initiatives needed in the region.
