The Clean Energy Ministerial’s (CEM) 23 participating governments will send energy ministers and representatives to Mexico for the group’s sixth meeting, to be hosted by the Government of Mexico. The meeting will assess progress achieved since the body’s founding five years ago and consider the best next steps for transitioning to a global clean energy economy. According to the meeting organizers, CEM6 will be a “decision-making meeting,” where the participating government ministers will decide on a plan for how the forum can be more ambitious and effective. Member governments will also have the opportunity to demonstrate how they are advancing national clean energy goals and how the CEM can contribute to a successful Paris Climate Change Conference in December 2015.
