The President of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) will convene a retreat to advance preparations for the 2017 session of the Council. The retreat also aims to foster synergies between the various fora taking place under the auspices of ECOSOC, including the UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), the ECOSOC Forum on Financing for Development Follow-up (FFD Forum) and the Multi-stakeholder Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for the SDGs.
