5 November 2010: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published an annual report (FCCC/SBSTA/2010/INF.9) on the technical review of greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories and other information reported by parties included in Annex I to the Convention that are also parties to the Kyoto Protocol under Article 7, paragraph 1, of the Kyoto Protocol.

This document provides information on the status of submission and review of the annual information required under Article 7, paragraph 1, of the Kyoto Protocol, including the GHG inventories, and the status of submission of the review reports to the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (COP/MOP) and the Compliance Committee in 2010. It also provides information on the selection of experts and lead reviewers and their participation in the review process, and recommendations from the lead reviewers on how to improve this process. This report will be considered by the 33rd session of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA), to be held in Cancun, Mexico, from 29 November-10 December 2010. [The Report]
