27 November 2008: UN-HABITAT’s Executive Director, Anna Tibaijuka, will join the UN Secretary-General and other senior officials in Poznan, Poland, for the climate talks that will take place from 1-12 December 2008.
In Poznan, UN-HABITAT, through the Cities in Climate Change Initiative,
will highlight the role of cities and the potential of local action in
climate change mitigation and adaptation. To this end, the agency will
promote dialogue between the different levels of government, and the
linking of local and national action plans within the framework of
