The newsletter reviews recent and upcoming activities of the ECREEE, as well as recently-formed partnerships.

1 October 2010: The Economic Community Of West African States (ECOWAS) Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) has published its first quarterly newsletter.

The newsletter begins with a message from ECREEE Director Mahama Kappiah, explaining that the issue provides an overview of ECREEE’s status and highlights upcoming activities. Featured articles address: ECREEE’s partnerships with the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP), and the Brazilian Government; and its membership to the African Renewable Energy Technology Platform (AFRETEP). Further short pieces discuss results of a workshop on energy efficiency in West Africa, ECREEE’s funding needs, and upcoming ECREEE events. [The Newsletter]
