As part of the preparations for the Fourth UN Conference on the Least Developed Countries (UNLDC IV, Istanbul, 2011), the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) is organizing an international high-level meeting of experts on sustainable tourism for development in the least developed countries (LDCs). The meeting will aim to ensure that sustainable tourism development for poverty reduction in LDCs is recognized, and that this recognition is translated into meaningful international commitments to support tourism development in these countries.
