19th Internet Governance Forum

The 19th annual Internet Governance Forum (IGF) will convene under the theme, ‘Building our Multistakeholder Digital Future'. The UN Forum serves to bring people together from various stakeholder groups as equals, in discussions on public policy issues relating to the Internet.

The IGF aims to facilitate a common understanding of how to maximize digital opportunities and address digital risks and challenges. The IGF will focus on four themes:

  • Harnessing innovation and balancing risks in the digital space
  • Enhancing the digital contribution to peace, development, and sustainability
  • Advancing human rights and inclusion in the digital age
  • Improving digital governance for the Internet We Want

The UN Secretary-General convenes the annual IGF. The Government of Saudi Arabia will host the 19th IGF. The Forum will bring together governments, treaty-based organizations, and stakeholders interested in internet governance and related issues.
