The 2024 OECD Forum on Gender Equality will address advancing gender equality amid green, energy, and digital transitions. The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Forum will explore innovative strategies and policies, and other opportunities to ensure women’s equal participation in sustainability efforts and empower women to thrive in the digital age.
The Forum will convene at a time when gender equality remains a challenge, with women being disproportionately affected by climate change and environmental degradation. Participants will reflect on how to promote gender equality amidst major global transformations, including: the transition to sustainable energy; a shift towards sustainable, green growth; and digitalization.
The Forum will feature a high-level opening panel and keynote speech. Sessions will focus on: uniting gender equality and climate action in the net-zero journey; energizing gender equality in the energy transition era; addressing digital gender gaps and the impact of digital technologies on the mental health of women and girls; promoting multi-sectoral approaches to support gender quality; and leveraging government tools and data for inclusive global transitions.
