Opening the workshop, Richard Vokes, Country Director, ADB, hoped participants would evaluate the results of scoping work on the status of climate change studies in Sri Lanka and identify research gaps and needs with the aim to improve understanding of the economics of climate change and facilitate the adoption of programs, projects, plans, and policies dealing with adaptation and mitigation.
