Three international organisations are jointly convening this conference: the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI); the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD); and the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). The conference will bring together representatives from the private and public sector, civil society and academia to discuss the role of business in the Asia-Pacific region in achieving sustainable development. Participants will discuss ways to align business sustainability strategies with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and showcase examples of sustainable business practice from the region. The outcome of discussions will feed into ESCAP's Second Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD), to be held in Bangkok from 21-22 May 2015, and the High-Level Political Forum on sustainable development (HLPF) in July 2015.
