More than 250 representatives from the social, environmental and economic sectors joined in the Forest Stewardship Council’s (FSC) three-day celebration of its first ten years and discussions to define its next decade.

During the meeting, which took place in Bonn, Germany from 10-13 September 2004, FSC’s stakeholders considered strategies, goals and targets, and stressed the importance of making progress with forest certification in tropical forests and increasing the market share for FSC certified products. On the closing day, German Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety Jürgen Trittin officially opened the FSC’s new International Centre in Bonn.
