The Network of Asian River Basin Organizations (NARBO) was established in February 2004 to promote Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) and improve water governance in Asian river basins, and to enhance the capacity and effectiveness of river basin organizations (RBOs). NARBO has 84 member organizations representing 18 countries, and a full-time secretariat associated with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Japan Water Agency. The 10-year anniversary celebration features a high-level panel and associated workshops that will take stock of achievements and lessons learned, and propose ways forward, in consultation with members and key water players.
