To help propel family farmers' voices forward, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) and the World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters (AMARC) are hosting a series of three virtual consultations. The regional consultation for Asia and the Pacific aims to enable development practitioners, information and communication specialists, community media practitioners, rural development agencies and the private sector to share their regional perspectives on family farming and rural development. The online platform of ComDev Asia is hosting the regional consultation for Asia and the Pacific. The simultaneous regional consultations will be followed by one global online consultation, from 22 September to 6 October 2014, in which e-Agriculture community members and others will be encouraged to discuss and complement the outcomes of the regional consultations.
