The launch workshop of the Global Soil Partnership: towards prevention and restoration of degraded soils in Central America and the Caribbean will take place at Hotel Melia Habana in La Habana, Cuba, from 30 September-3 October 2013. The Workshop will features session on: introduction of the workshop, the Global Soil Partnership, and regional initiatives; national presentations on status, priorities and needs for sustainable soil management; establishment of the Regional Partnership and development of a Plan of Action; and a field trip to model farms.
