7 May 2012: The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) has published its new Regional Network brochure titled “Rio+20 and Beyond: Business Solutions for a Sustainable World.”WBCSD’s Regional Network is an alliance of CEO-led business organizations that are committed to promoting business solutions for sustainable development in their countries or regions. The brochure was published in anticipation of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20), and provides an overview of the contribution of the WBCSD and its Regional Network to sustainable development. It describes how they started with raising awareness and developing the business case for sustainable development and are now promoting action on the ground and engaging in advocacy. It provides examples of relevant activities by the WBCSD and its Regional Network to accelerate change towards a sustainable future.
