UNFCCC Publishes SBI 34 Report

UNFCCC Secretariat has published the report of the 34th session of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI), as well as an addendum to the report consisting of draft COP and COP/MOP decisions on the programme budget for the biennium 2012-2013.

UNFCCC12 August 2011: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published the report (FCCC/SBI/2011/7) of the 34th session of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI 34), which met in Bonn, Germany, from 6-17 June 2011.

During the meeting, the SBI considered items including: national communications for Annex I and non annex I parties; national adaptation plans; approaches to address loss and damage; the impact of the implementation of response measures; amendment of the Kyoto Protocol in respect of procedures and mechanisms relating to compliance; procedures, mechanisms and institutional arrangements for appeals against the decisions of the Executive Board of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM); arrangements for intergovernmental meetings; and administrative, financial and institutional matters.

The UNFCCC has also published an addendum (FCCC/SBI/2011/7 Add.1) to the SBI 34 report. This addendum includes draft decisions forwarded for adoption to the Conference fo the Parties (COP) and to the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (COP/MOP). These draft COP and COP/MOP decisions are on the programme budget for the biennium 2012-2013.
