IEA Posts Presentations from Emissions Trading Workshop

Workshop participants addressed topics relevant to the future of global carbon markets including scaled-up and new market mechanisms, regional linkages, carbon market oversight, and accounting and verification.

11 October 2010: Presentations have been made available online from the 10th Annual Workshop on Greenhouse Gas Emission Trading, organized by the International Energy Agency (IEA), the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) and the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), from 20-21 September 2010, in Paris, France.

Over 20 presentations from this event have been made available from the workshop’s six sessions on, inter alia: sectoral/scaled-up/new market mechanisms; carbon market developments; regional aspects; oversight; and carbon dioxide project accounting and verification. Presenters included government representatives, members of academia, the private sector, representatives of international organizations, and other stakeholders.
