Greening the Blue Website Nominated for Clarion Award

The Greening the Blue website was launched in response to the UN Secretary-General's call for all UN agencies, funds and programmes to become climate neutral and "go green."

14 September 2010: Greening the Blue has been nominated under the “Websites” category by the judges of the International Visual Communications Association (IVCA) Clarion Awards.

The IVCA annually hosts the Clarion Awards, which celebrate communications that promote corporate social responsibility (CSR), diversity, sustainability, community development and health issues in the public, social enterprise, charity and corporate sectors. The Greening the Blue website was launched on World Environment Day 2010 in response to the call from UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon for all UN agencies, funds and programmes to become climate neutral and “go green.” The website has been developed on behalf of the Sustainable UN team, part of the UN Environment Programme (UNEP).
