CTCN Technical Assistance Advances SDGs, Online Feature Highlights Clean Tech for Women

The CTCN has published updates on its ongoing technical assistance contributing to implementation of SDGs 2, 4, 6, 8, 13 and 17.

The CTCN website launched a feature dedicated to gender and clean technologies.

9 March 2018: The Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) published updates on ongoing technical assistance, which helps implement SDGs 2 (zero hunger), 4 (quality education), 6 (clean water and sanitation), 8 (decent work and economic growth), 13 (climate action) and 17 (partnership for the Goals). This Update focuses on this and other recent news from the CTCN.

The CTCN Advisory Board, which meets twice per year to provide direction on the CTCN’s fulfillment of the COP’s guidance, convened in preparation for to the 48th session of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI 48) to address, among other issues, management response to SBI 48 regarding the CTCN’s independent review. The Board also considered outcomes of relevant meetings and events, matters relating to the UNFCCC Technology Mechanism, CTCN engagement on research, development and demonstration (RD&D), and monitoring and evaluation. The CTCN online feature highlights climate technologies that take into account particular needs of, and differential climate change impacts on, women.
