activities related to reducing greenhouse gas emissions from travel and therefore related to SDG 13, including: the reduction of the fossil carbon content of transport fuel; the increase in fuel efficiency of vehicles; the encouragement of a move towards more environmentally friendly forms of transport; and the possible inclusion of transport in emissions trading schemes. Includes activities related to SDG 9, as it relates to transportation infrastructure, and SDG 11, especially its target calling for providing access to safe, affordable, accessible and sustainable transport systems for all, improving road safety, notably by expanding public transport, with special attention to the needs of those in vulnerable situations, women, children, persons with disabilities and older persons.
