The workshop is the second of three to be jointly organized by the Missions of 10 UN member States on the initiative of the President of the 65th Session of the General Assembly, Joseph Deiss (Switzerland). The initiative, known as the Group of Friends on Green Economy, includes the governments of Egypt, Gabon, Grenada, Hungary, Indonesia, Mexico, Republic of Korea, Sweden, and Switzerland. The second workshop will focus on the various economic, development and social issues related to green economy, including its implications for jobs, investment, trade and commerce.
