This meeting of the International Energy Agency’s (IEA) Committee on Energy Research and Technology’s Expert Group on Research and Development Priority Setting and Evaluation (EGRD) will continue discussions begun in 2009 on strategies to overcome risks, costs and other implementation barriers to new climate-friendly technologies. In particular, the meeting will consider best practices for technology development in policies, programmes and measures at various stages of the research, development and deployment chain, including sessions on: creating business from ideas; early market stage entry; and full-scale market implementation: shaping consumer behavior.
