This event will launch two UN-Energy Policy Briefs on SDG 7 (affordable and clean energy). The launch event is a special event convening on the sidelines of the UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF).
These policy briefs focus on ‘Advancing Power System Connectivity in Support of SDG 7’ and ‘Aligning Critical Raw Material Development with Sustainable Development’. The policy briefs aim to inform HLPF discussions on SDG 7 and provide policy recommendations. Additional thematic policy briefs will be published online in the lead-up to the review of SDG 7 at the HLPF on 12 July 2023.
The UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) is organizing this event with UN-Energy.
