Right Here Right Now

The Connect4Climate event “Right Here Right Now” aims to celebrate youth's engagement in climate change action. With a keynote address by World Bank President Jim Yong Kim, the event will launch the Africa charity CD, “C4C special edition Rhythms del Mundo,” which features live performances by Kenyan rappers TS1, award-winning Malian musician Rokia Traore, and a live DJ set by MTVs Izzy Lawrence. Other event participants include: Sustainable Development Network Vice President Rachel Kyte; External Affairs Vice President Cyril Muller; Africa Vice President Makhtar Diop; Global Environment Facility (GEF) CEO and Chairperson Naoko Ishii; Italian Minister of the Environment Corrado Clini; and Nobel Prize Laureate Betty Williams. Launched by the World Bank, the Italian Ministry of Environment, and the GEF in collaboration with over 150 knowledge partners in September 2011, Connect4Climate (C4C) is a global partnership programme dedicated to climate change communication. The event will be streamlined live at the website: connect4climate.org
