The ‘Sustainable Development Goals Report 2023: Special Edition’ launch event will take place as a high-level event at the 2023 UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF). The event will discuss the latest data and recommendations on progress towards the SDGs.
The event aims to provide a platform for leaders to share their insights and calls to action for accelerating progress towards the SDGs and implementing a rescue plan for people and the planet. The report shows that most SDGs are moderately or severely off track. In light of this trend, the report provides five key recommendations to accelerate action and bring the world back on track to achieve the SDGs by 2030. The report features an in-depth analysis of selected indicators alongside charts, infographics, and maps.
The UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) is organizing the event. DESA’s Statistics Division prepared the report with input from over 50 international and regional organizations.
