Fourth Meeting of the Global Network of Island and Coastal Biosphere Reserves

This meeting will discuss the main challenges and threats facing island and coastal biosphere reserves, including climate change; water, energy and food self‐sufficiency; natural disasters; and waste management. Participants will share their perspectives and experiences on the World Network of Island and Coastal Biosphere Reserves, including on potential ways to address challenges and threats to reserves. Representatives of island and coastal biosphere reserves from Australia, Chile, China, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Denmark, Haiti, Indonesia, Jamaica, Japan, Maldives, Mauritius, Portugal, the Philippines, the Republic of Korea, Sao Tome and Principe, Saint Kitts and Nevis, South Africa, Spain, Sweden and Yemen are expected to attend.
