Deep Sea 2003 is an international conference that will provide a forum for experts to discuss the issues relating to the present and future needs for science, conservation, and governance and management of the continental slope and deep seas. The conference is organized by the New Zealand Ministry of Fisheries, the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, and the Australian Fisheries Research and Development Corporation, with the technical co-operation of the FAO.
