The inaugural workshop of the Caribbean Weather Impacts Group (CARIWIG) Project will serve as its first stakeholder consultation, bringing together managers, technical personnel and policy makers from 25 national, intergovernmental and regional entities to discuss how CARIWIG can best serve the Caribbean's water, agriculture and coastal resource sectors through reliable access to unbiased, locally-relevant climate change information in a manner that complements their planning cycles. Funded by the Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN), CARIWIG is to be implemented by the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC), the University of the West Indies, the University of East Anglia (UK) and Cuba's Institute of Meteorology.
