The International Whaling Commission (IWC) will hold the annual meeting of its Scientific Committee, as well as a Joint meeting of the IWC Scientific and Conservation Committees in Bled, Slovenia. Approximately 200 scientists are expected to attend the two-week Scientific Committee meeting to review and make decisions on the reports of the Scientific Committee and its recommendations on the conservation and management of whale species.
