A Tipping Point: Investors Prompt Companies to Disclose and Manage Climate Risk

The Paris Climate Agreement set the stage for global action to combat climate change and pave the way toward a low‐carbon economy. The role of non‐state actors, such as institutional investors, will be instrumental to achieving the objectives of the Paris Agreement on climate change. Hosted by New York City Comptroller, California Controller and the 50/50 Climate Project, the event views proposals for disclosure of the impact on a company’s business under a 2°C scenario that were passed at several companies earlier this year as the “tipping point.” Event participants will engage in a conversation on investors’ strategies and successes to prompt companies to manage climate risk and identify new business opportunities.

This event is taking place as part of Climate Week NYC 2017.
