During the Madrid Climate Change Conference, the Chilean Presidency of the 25th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 25) to the UNFCCC will convene a roundtable to discuss how more coherent implementation of the Rio Conventions, in the context of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, can enhance policy making and results at the national level.

The event will bring together Parties and the Executive Secretaries of the UNFCCC, the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) to explore how strengthened coordination and collaboration across communities of practitioners and experts, as well as civil society and the science community could enable more coherent implementation and enhance the outcomes and achievement of mandates collectively across the three agendas.
