17 July 2008: The UN Environment Programme (UNEP),
with the Foundation for Global Peace and Environment, launched its eighteenth International
Children’s Painting Competition on 17 July 2008.

The Competition, running under the theme “Climate
Change: Our Challenge,” calls for entries from children ages 5 to 13 focusing
on a wide range of climate-related issues, including concrete adaptation and
