28 November 2012: The UN Development Programme (UNDP) and the World Bank have released a new version of their web platform on climate finance information. The Climate Finance Options (CFO) website features sections on funding sources, a knowledge center and on the ground activities, each of which aims to facilitate decision making.

The funding sources section highlights available adaptation and mitigation funding to help users identify financing for their projects. The knowledge center is a compilation of online financial and project analysis tools that enable users to access climate finance information through project guides and financial documents. “On the ground” features over two dozen case studies from around the world. Users can search for projects by focus area, financing mechanism, region or sector.

The Platform also hosts User Communities, where registered CFO users can discuss climate finance, and a news section. A finance tracker enables users to track bilateral and international climate finance flows. [CFO Platform 2.0]
