© COPYRIGHTFOTO27 August 2009: The proposed agenda and annotations, as well as the draft work programme, for the 17th meeting of the Joint Implementation Supervisory Committee (JISC) are now available on the JI website.

JISC 17 is scheduled to convene from 10-11 September 2009, in Kiev, Ukraine. At the meeting, participants will consider various issues necessary for the functioning of JI, including: accreditation of independent entities; matters relating to determination and verification reports; development of a determination and verification manual; development of definitions, forms, guidelines and procedures for projects under programmes of activities; and the JI management plan and resources for the work on JI. On the operation of the JISC itself, the Committee will also consider: collaboration of the JISC with others; elements for JISC’s annual report to the COP/MOP; consideration of revisions to the JISC documents relevant to the determination and verification manual; and revisions to the JISC rules of procedure. Proceedings of the meeting will be webcast on the JI website.
JISC 17 will be preceded by informal consultations on 7 September, and a UNFCCC JI technical workshop on 8-9 September. [Meeting Webpage]
