Montreal Protocol Multilateral Fund Approves over US$2.7 Million for National Projects

The UN Multilateral Fund for the Implementation of the Montreal Protocol approved finance for institutional strengthening projects in 18 countries.

It also approved hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC) Phase out Management Plan (HPMP) projects in 11 countries.

The projects were approved during the 72nd meeting of the Executive Committee of the Multilateral Fund (ExCom).

The projects were approved during the 72nd meeting of the Executive Committee of the Multilateral Fund (ExCom).

The ExCom convened in Montreal, Canada, from 12-16 May 2014.

The ExCom approved over US$2.7 million in project funding for projects in Afghanistan, Albania, Bahamas, Belize, China, Cook Islands, Dominica, the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), Fiji, Gambia, Guinea, India, Iran, Lao PDR, Malawi, Maldives, Kyrgyzstan, Nauru, Nepal, Pakistan, Paraguay, Moldova, Timor-Leste, Tunisia, Tuvalu, Tanzania and Vanuatu.
