FAO13 April 2013: The Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) has launched a survey on knowledge management (KM) and decision support (DS) methods related to sustainable land management (SLM) to obtain feedback on the existing SLM KM and DS methods, tools and products developed by FAO and the World Overview of Conservation Approaches and Technologies (WOCAT).

The survey is aimed at natural resource and agriculture experts, project managers, field technicians, policymakers, and members of the WOCAT network.

The survey is informed by the publication titled, ‘Catalogue of Knowledge Management and Decision Support Methods, Tools and Products on Sustainable Land and Water Management,’ which summarizes the tools produced over the last 30 years by FAO, its Land Degradation Assessment in Drylands (LADA) project and WOCAT. The catalogue is divided into eight sections related to different areas of sustainable land and water management, including, water, land, trees and forestry, climate change and impact assessment policy.
