14 November 2014: Some 45 experts from 18 European countries met from 11-14 November, in Wageningen, the Netherlands, to discuss plant-related issues and make recommendations for the next meetings of the Plants and Standing Committees of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
Margarita Clemente, Chair of the CITES Plants Committee, noted that the meeting was an excellent opportunity to exchange information and best practices to make sure the most accurate, available scientific knowledge guides CITES’ decisions. [CITES News]
