9 May 2011: The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has made available the official logo of the UN Decade on Biodiversity 2011-2020.

The logo is inspired by the logo used for the International Year of Biodiversity 2010. The official slogan of the decade is “Living in Harmony with Nature,” in line with the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020, adopted in October 2010, in Nagoya, Japan. The electronic version of the logo in English is available upon request by submitting a duly completed Waiver of Liability Form to the CBD Secretariat. Versions of the logo in the other UN languages will be available on the official website of the decade, due to be launched in advance of the International Biodiversity Day to be celebrated on 22 May.
