AOSIS Revises Website
story highlights

The revised website of the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) features sections on: Members and Observers of AOSIS; Issues, which highlights climate change; the Small Island Developing States (SIDS) Sustainable Energy Initiative, known as SIDS DOCK; Documents and Media, including publications, video, and statements by AOSIS representatives; Events Calendar; and About the Bureau.

July 2011: The Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) has recently revised its website. The revised website highlights the 20th anniversary of AOSIS and the “1.5 to stay alive” campaign, among other sections.

The website content is organized in six sections: Members and Observers of AOSIS; Issues, which highlights climate change; the Small Island Developing States (SIDS) Sustainable Energy Initiative, known as SIDS DOCK; Documents and Media, including publications, video and statements by AOSIS representatives; Events Calendar; and About the Bureau. The AOSIS Bureau consists of a Chair and two Vice-Chairs.

Prominent on the homepage are recent news items relevant to small island States, and a “Featured SIDS” (currently Grenada). [AOSIS Website]
