WSIS Forum 2019

To mark its tenth anniversary, the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum 2019 will convene under the theme, ‘Information and Communication Technologies for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals’.

WSIS is the world’ s largest annual gathering of the information and communications technology (ICT) for the development community. As a global multi-stakeholder platform, it facilitates the implementation of the WSIS Action Lines for advancing sustainable development.

The Forum is co-organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), UN Development Programme (UNDP) and UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), in close collaboration with WSIS Action Line facilitators and other UN organizations, including the the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), UN Environment Programme (UNEP), World Health Organization (WHO), UN Women, World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), World Food Programme (WFP), International Labour Organization (ILO), World Meteorological Organization (WMO), UN Regional Commissions and others.
