The All-China Youth Federation (ACYF), with local partners, will convene the World Youth Development Forum to foster dialogue among international organizations, governments, youth organizations, youth leaders, and all sectors of the society, to prioritize youth development and to promote the joint implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and China’s Global Development Initiative.
The Forum will: share knowledge and best practice on youth development to “build consensus on setting youth development agenda as national and international priority”; showcase youth’s contribution to achieving the 2030 Agenda and co-launch an Action Plan for Global Youth Development; and provide a platform for stakeholders to work together for youth development and global development.
Themed, ‘For a Shared Future: Promoting Sustainable Development with Youth and for Youth,’ the Forum will highlight four sub-themes: employment and entrepreneurship; climate action and green development; digital economy; and inclusive and equitable quality education.
The Forum is organized with support from UN China, the International Labour Organization (ILO), the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), and the World Economic Forum (WEF), among other partners.
