28 August - 2 September 2016 Stockholm, Stockholms Lan, Sweden
World Water Week 2016

World Water Week 2016 will focus on 'Water for Sustainable Growth,' and will include over 140 events on subjects such as finance, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, integrity, gender issues, climate change, energy, sanitation, food, conflict resolution and water management. Following on from the UN's theme of 'Water and Jobs' at World Water Day on 22 March 2016, Water Week considers this theme in the context of sustainable growth, in relation to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8 to “promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.” Water Week will also follow up on implementation of the water-related SDGs and the Paris Agreement on climate change. Online registrations are open till 27 August. World Water Week takes place in Stockholm, Sweden, every year, and is organized by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI). In 2015, over 3,000 individuals and close to 300 convening organizations from 130 countries participated in the Week.
