World Education Forum

The World Education Forum (WEF) 2015 will take place under the theme, ‘Equitable and inclusive quality education and lifelong learning for all by 2030'. WEF aims to: assess achievements and shortfalls in the implementation of the education-related Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the Education for All (EFA) goals during the period 2000-2015; agree on a joint position for the education goals and targets in the post-2015 development agenda; and agree on a comprehensive Framework for Action to guide and support the implementation of the future education agenda. It will address five key themes: right to education; equity; inclusion; quality education; and lifelong learning. The UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is convening the Forum in collaboration with the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF), UN Women and the World Bank.
