The Sixth Open-ended Committee of Permanent Representatives (OECPR-6) will take place in a hybrid format in February 2024, ahead of the sixth session of the UN Environment Assembly (UNEA-6). The meeting will feature informal consultations in working groups and contact groups.

The OECPR is the intersessional subsidiary body of UNEA. The OECPR serves as a preparatory meeting of the UNEA agenda and pre-negotiates and deliberates the content and wording of proposed resolutions, declarations, and decisions for endorsement and approval by the Assembly. All accredited representatives to the Committee of Permanent Representatives and UNEP-accredited Major Groups and Stakeholders can participate in the OECPR.
